This Air Fryer Sandwich is made with turkey, brie, apple, arugula, mustard and a drizzle of honey. It's delicious and super easy to make!
We already know I have many many air fryer recipes because I'm air fryer obsessed. Don't ask me why I never made a sandwich in the air fryer until now. Let's just say my life was made easier yet again by the air fryer!
Since turkey, brie and apple sandwiches are one of my favorites combos, I had to make a recipe including those ingredients. You're going to be making this sandwich over and over for lunch!
Why you'll love air fryer sandwiches:
- Quick - Just spray the bread, add your spreads and toppings, and air fry!
- Great way to use up Thanksgiving turkey - Make air fryer sandwiches with leftover turkey.
- Customizable - I'm partial to this flavor combination, but the options are endless. I added some ideas below.
Ingredients overview:
- sourdough bread - You can use your favorite sliced bread. I love sourdough.
- avocado oil spray - Any oil spray will work fine.
- Dijon mustard - For some zing!
- turkey cold-cut meat - I like asking the deli to shave the turkey. It's a personal preference, but I recommend trying it.
- brie cheese - I love the creaminess of the brie with the other ingredients.
- thinly sliced apple - Any sweet red apple is perfect.
- honey - The sweetness ties everything together.
- arugula - The peppery flavor is wonderful on this sandwich.
- extra virgin olive oil - For coating the arugula.
- salt and pepper - For seasoning the arugula.
How to make an air fryer sandwich?
A complete list of ingredients, amounts and instructions is located on the recipe card below.
- Preheat your air fryer.
- Spray each slice of bread on one side with avocado oil spray.
- Place the sprayed side down of one piece and evenly spread the mustard on it.
- Next, add the turkey on top.
- Then, add the brie, apple slices and a drizzle of honey.
How do you toast a sandwich in an air fryer?
- Top the sandwich with the other piece of bread (sprayed side up).
- Air fry at 350 degrees F for 3 minutes.
- Then, flip and cook for another 2-4 minutes. All air fryers are different and all breads toast differently so keep an eye on the sandwich.
- While the sandwich is cooking, combine arugula with olive oil and salt and pepper in a small bowl until coated.
- When the sandwich is done, remove the top piece of bread, add the arugula and put the bread back on top.
- Cut the sandwich in half and enjoy!
Recipe pro-tips:
- I recommend preheating your air fryer for even cooking.
- You do not need to take the rind off of the cheese.
- If the top piece of bread flies off in the air fryer, you can add a toothpick to hold bread down.
- Double the recipe and cook two sandwiches at a time if your air fryer can fit them both. Make sure you don't stack them.
Recipe variations:
Swap out the ingredients in this air fryer sandwich for something like...
- prosciutto, mozzarella, pesto and heirloom tomato
- chicken cold cut meat with cheddar, chipotle mayo and avocado
- leftover Thanksgiving turkey with cranberry sauce, brie and spinach
Dietary adaptations:
- dairy-free - Omit the cheese and add avocado instead.
- gluten-free - Use gluten free bread.
- vegetarian - Leave the turkey out and just make an air fryer grilled cheese sandwich.

I suggest eating this sandwich fresh.
