Air Fryer Salmon Bites (also known as nuggets) are absolutely delicious! I served these bites with a lemon dill sauce made with yogurt.

Air Fryer Salmon Bites with lemon dill sauce on the side

This might be my new favorite way to eat salmon! I love anything bite-sized. I'm sure many of you would agree. These salmon bites are not only fun, but they are so yummy too!

You can serve these bites with your favorite sauce, but I highly suggest giving my homemade lemon dill sauce a try! The flavors of the sauce pair so well with the salmon.

Ingredients in lemon dill sauce

  • plain Greek yogurt - To make this recipe dairy free, use a dairy free yogurt you enjoy!
  • fresh lemon juice - Use the fresh stuff, not bottled lemon juice.
  • extra virgin olive oil - Good quality olive oil is key!
  • fresh chopped dill - If you don't like dill, use another fresh herb such as parsley.
  • dijon mustard
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

Frequently Asked Questions

How to remove skin from salmon?

Place the salmon fillet on a cutting board skin side down. Place one hand on top of the salmon. With your other hand, gradually run your knife between the skin and flesh. Discard the skin.

What if I don't have an air fryer?

You can bake the salmon bites. Cook salmon in an oven preheated to 400 degrees F for 12-15 minutes (or until desired doneness), flipping halfway through.

What to serve with air fryer salmon bites?

Some great side dish options for salmon bites are Air Fryer Lemon Parmesan Asparagus, White Bean Caprese Salad, Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Carrots.

Ingredients
  

Ingredients in Lemon Dill Sauce

  • ½ cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon extra virgin olive oil - Good quality olive oil is key!
  • 2 tablespoons fresh chopped dill
  • ½ tablespoon dijon mustard
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients in Salmon Bites

  • 2 4-6 oz salmon fillets
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Instructions
 

  • First, pat the salmon fillets dry. Then, remove the skin. Lastly, cut the fillets into cubes.
  • Place the salmon pieces into a bowl. Add the avocado oil, garlic powder, salt and pepper. Gently combine without breaking the salmon until the pieces are evenly coated.
  • Place the seasoned salmon into the air fryer basket. Do not stack them on top of one another.
  • Air fry the salmon bites at 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes.
  • Make the lemon dill sauce as the salmon is cooking. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.
  • Serve the sauce with the bites and enjoy!

    These salmon bites were super tasty! I had to air fry mine for longer, but no big deal. I loved the dill sauce, too! Great for dipping roasted veggies, as well.
