Air Fryer Salmon Bites (also known as nuggets) are so delicious! The bites are coated in sesame oil, tamari and honey.

Salmon bites with sesame seeds and scallions.

Why you'll love air fryer salmon bites:

This might be my new favorite way to eat salmon! I love anything bite-sized. I'm sure many of you would agree. These salmon bites are not only fun, but they are so yummy too!

You can have these bites of heaven on the table in less than 15 minutes!

Don't skip the homemade Sriracha Greek Yogurt Sauce! The flavors of the sauce pair so well with the salmon.

Salmon bites in the air fryer are healthy and super high in protein!

Ingredients in air fryer salmon bites.

Ingredients in salmon bites:

  • salmon fillets - We're removing the skin for this recipe and cutting the salmon into cubes.
  • sesame oil - Don't use another oil in place of sesame oil. It has an amazing flavor!
  • honey - You can also use maple syrup or agave.
  • tamari - You can also use coconut aminos or soy sauce (if not gluten-free).
  • ginger powder
  • garlic powder
  • dried red pepper flakes
  • salt
  • sesame seeds

Ingredients in Sriracha Greek Yogurt Sauce:

  • plain Greek yogurt - It doesn't matter what fat percentage you use. I do think 5% is the most flavorful though.
  • tamari - You can also use coconut aminos or soy sauce (if not gluten-free).
  • sriracha - You can also use your favorite hot sauce.
  • rice wine vinegar
  • sesame oil - Don't use another oil in place of sesame oil. It has an amazing flavor!

Salmon bites in marinade.

First, preheat your air fryer.

Pat the salmon fillets dry. Then, remove the skin. Lastly, cut the fillets into cubes.

Place the salmon pieces into a bowl. Add the sesame oil, honey, tamari, ginger powder, garlic powder, dried red pepper flakes and salt.

Gently combine without breaking the salmon until the pieces are evenly coated.

Salmon bites in an air fryer.

Place the seasoned salmon into the air fryer basket. Do not stack them on top of one another.

Air fry the salmon bites at 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, shaking halfway through.

Sriracha Greek Yogurt Sauce in a small bowl.

Make the Sriracha Greek Yogurt Sauce as the salmon is cooking. Combine all the ingredients for the sauce in a bowl.

Remove the bites from the air fryer and sprinkle them with sesame seeds.

Serve them with the sauce!

I plated mine with a side of broccoli and a sprinkle of scallions as well.

Expert Tips:

Cut the salmon similar in size so each piece cooks evenly.

If you're gluten free, make sure the tamari you're using is gluten free.

I recommend preheating your air fryer for even cooking.

Do not stack the salmon cubes on top of one another in the air fryer or they won't crisp nicely.

Don't overcook the salmon bites or they will be dry. Keep an eye on them.

FAQs:

How to remove skin from salmon?

Place the salmon fillet on a cutting board skin side down. Place one hand on top of the salmon. With your other hand, gradually run your knife between the skin and flesh. Discard the skin.

What if I don't have an air fryer?

You can bake the salmon bites. Cook salmon in an oven preheated to 400 degrees F for 8-12 minutes (or until desired doneness), flipping halfway through.

What to serve with air fryer salmon bites?

Serve these salmon bites with broccoli and rice or quinoa and you have a perfect weeknight meal!

Storage and reheating instructions:

Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days. Store the sauce separately.

Reheat the cubes in a preheated air fryer set to 350 degrees F for a few minutes, or until warm.

These salmon bites were super tasty! I had to air fry mine for longer, but no big deal. I loved the dill sauce, too! Great for dipping roasted veggies, as well.
