How to make vegan chocolate truffles:
This is an overview of the recipe with photos. Complete instructions are located on the recipe card below.
Start by mixing together all the ingredients for the filling in a bowl until combined - almond flour, oat flour, cacao powder, maple syrup and milk.
Use a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop and roll the mixture into balls.
Place them on a small cookie sheet or plate lined with parchment paper.
Place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in an oven safe bowl.
Microwave in 30 second increments to ensure the chocolate does not burn. (Example: Microwave for 30 seconds, stir the chocolate and then place back into the microwave.) Repeat this until the chocolate is completely melted.
Coat each of the balls in the melted chocolate and place them back onto the parchment paper.
Sprinkle each with sprinkles and flaky sea salt.
Place them into the fridge for 1 hour and enjoy!
Recipe pro-tips:
Spoon the flour into the measuring cup. Then, level off the top of the cup with a knife. Do not place the measuring cup into the bag and scoop. You could end up with more flour than needed.
Add more coconut oil to your chocolate if it seems too thick.
Use a fork to help you coat the bites in the chocolate.
Don't leave them outside of the fridge for too long. They can melt if it's warm in your home.
Storage Instructions:
Store the vegan truffles in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 1 week.
Store them in a freezer bag in the freezer for up to 3 months.

I just made this recipe now and I can confidently say they are the best I've ever had! They turned out perfectly - super fudgy and brownie-like and do not taste whatsoever like a healthy alternative! I'm still amazed at the taste - not too sweet, which I love, and just so so delicious. I used Dove chocolate for the coating instead of the chocolate chips and it turned out amazing. I'm so surprised that this recipe doesn't have all the hype! Thank you!

This comment made me so happy!! Thank you, Ava. 🙂

If I don’t have almond flour can I substitute with a different kind? Like coconut flour?
krista
No, coconut flour has a very different texture than almond flour. It requires more liquid.

I purposely do not provide nutritional information because numbers can be triggering for some. I want this to be a safe space for all. If interested, you can type the ingredients into an online calculator and find the nutritional info for any recipe. It’s also much more accurate since we probably use different brands.
Michelle
Amazing! Thank you so much for this delicious recipe. I made a little different. Instead of the cacao powder I used chocolate protien powder. Delicious!!! Thanks again.

Yummy! 🙂

Look yummy. Can more oat flour be used in place of almond flour? I don’t have almond flour. Thank you.
krista
Oat flour cannot typically be substituted one for one with almond flour. You can use oat flour and play around with the measurements of the other ingredients until you achieve a similar looking texture.
Indah
If you don’t have oat flour can u substitute all with almond flour?
krista
Every flour has a different texture so you may need to adjust the amounts of other ingredients as well to obtain a similar texture.

Hello, just want to ask, if the oat flour can be eaten not baken? I mean normaly we have to bake, cook flour and also the oat we cook or connect with a warm milk/water ect. Just to be sure, thanks, in advance, for answer :).
krista
Oat flour is simply ground up oats so no need to bake.

Hello Krista, can I get the full ingredients in grams?Because I really don't know how to make things like that without a scale. I really appreciate your fantastic work! Thank you ❤️❤️
krista
Hi Suad! Thank you so much! ❤️ Grams are hard to convert without actually using a scale to measure. I wouldn't want to just put conversions without measuring for myself. I don't have a scale at this time, but maybe I will do this in the future. You can try an online calculator that converts cups to grams, but as I said, it won't be perfect. You will have to play around with the measurements a bit.

Absolutely amazing!!! Thank-you!
