Air Fryer Turkey Meatballs are healthy, flavorful and easy to make. I paired these meatballs with a homemade Maple Mustard Sauce!

Turkey meatballs in a plate with dipping sauce.

Why you'll love air fryer turkey meatballs:

Turkey meatballs in the air fryer come together in under 20 minutes.

They are filled with flavor from ingredients like fresh parsley and goat cheese.

They are golden on the outside and tender on the inside.

Don't forget about the Maple Mustard Sauce. It pairs perfectly with the meatballs!

Ingredients in air fryer turkey meatballs.

Ingredients for the meatballs:

  • 93% lean ground turkey - I don't recommend using 99% lean. The meatballs will be dry.
  • minced yellow onion
  • egg
  • fresh minced flat leaf parsley
  • crumbled goat cheese - You can also use feta cheese instead.
  • panko bread crumbs - Use gluten free if necessary.
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper
  • olive oil spray - Just for spraying the air fryer.

Ingredients for the maple mustard dip:

  • extra virgin olive oil - Use good quality olive oil!
  • Dijon mustard
  • pure maple syrup
  • fresh lemon juice
  • garlic powder
  • salt and pepper

A complete list of ingredients, amounts and instructions is located on the recipe card below.

How to make turkey meatballs in the air fryer:

Ingredients for turkey meatballs in a bowl.

Preheat the air fryer.

Combine all of the ingredients for the meatballs in a bowl.

Do not overmix the ground turkey mixture or the meatballs will be tough.

Hand holding turkey meatball.

Roll the ground turkey mixture into balls using a 1 tbsp small cookie scoop.

Be gentle when rolling the meatballs. Don't overwork them or the meatballs will not be tender.

Uncooked turkey meatballs in an air fryer.

Spray the air fryer basket with olive oil spray.

Place the meatballs in a single layer in the air fryer.

If you have a small air fryer, cook this recipe in two batches.

Cook the meatballs at 380 degrees F for 8-10 minutes, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F; shaking halfway through.

Maple mustard sauce in a glass jar.

Make the Maple Mustard Sauce while the meatballs are cooking.

Combine all of the ingredients in a small bowl with a fork.

Hand holding meatball with dipping sauce.

Serve the sauce with the meatballs!

Recipe pro-tips:

  • Don’t overmix the ground turkey mixture. Mix everything just until combined. If you overmix it then you can wind up with tough meatballs.
  • Be gentle when rolling the meatballs. Don't overwork them or the meatballs will not be tender.
  • Don't use 99% lean ground turkey. The meatballs will be dry because there is not much fat coming from the other ingredients.
  • I love and recommend THIS AIR FRYER!
  • I suggest preheating your air fryer for even cooking.
  • Don't stack the meatballs on top of one another. If you have a small air fryer, cook this recipe in two batches.

What to serve with air fryer meatballs:

  • Air Fryer Fingerling Potatoes
  • Roasted Brussels Sprouts and Carrots
  • Kale Crunch Salad (Chick-Fil-A Copycat!)
  • Red Cabbage Soup
  • Air Fryer Shishito Peppers

Storage directions:

Once cooked, allow the meatballs to cool completely.

Store them in an airtight container in the fridge for 3-4 days.

Store them in a freezer bag in the freezer for about 1 month.
