Expert Tips

  • It's best to leave the bread out for a day on the counter, wrapped in paper towel to let it dry out a bit. This will yield crispier French Toast sticks.
  • Do not let the bread soak in the mixture for too long or it could fall apart.
  • If you have an air fryer, you can make French toast sticks in the air fryer. Air fry the dipped bread for 5-6 minutes at 375 degrees F or until crisp and golden.
  • Don't substitute another dairy free milk for the canned coconut milk. Dairy free milk in a carton will not be as thick and creamy for the sauce.
