First, make the Maple Almond Butter Sauce by placing the 3 ingredients into a small jar with a lid. Shake until combined. Set it aside.
Next, cut 4 slices of bread into sticks.
In a bowl, whisk together almond milk, egg, cinnamon, vanilla and coconut sugar.
Heat a pan on medium with coconut oil.
Dip each piece of bread in the egg mixture and place the bread into the hot pan to cook. Do not let the bread soak in the mixture for too long or it could fall apart.
Cook for about 2-3 minutes per side.
If the pan gets too hot and the French toast sticks are cooking too quickly, turn down the heat a bit.
