What are edamame?
Edamame describes young immature green soybeans that are found in a pod.
Ingredients:
- frozen unshelled edamame - Do not thaw.
- sesame oil - You can use another oil of choice, but I love the flavor of sesame oil.
- garlic powder
- salt - Use more or less depending on how salty you would like the edamame.

How to cook edamame in the air fryer:
First, preheat your air fryer.
Place the frozen edamame into a bowl.
Add the sesame oil, garlic powder and salt.
Combine until the edamame are all coated.
Add the seasoned edamame into your air fryer.
Air fry them at 380 degrees F for 9-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
Note: Water will collect at the bottom of the air fryer. Do not flip the air fryer over to add the edamame to a bowl or the water will pour over the edamame.
Use a spatula to lift the edamame out of the air fryer.
If desired, sprinkle the edamame with extra salt to serve.

Instructions
- First, preheat your air fryer. If your air fryer has a preheating option you can preheat your air fryer. If you don’t have that option, you can run the machine at 380 degrees F for 2-5 minutes. Leave the machine running for about 3 minutes for smaller air fryers. Leave the machine running for about 5 minutes for larger air fryers.
- Place the frozen edamame into a bowl. Add the sesame oil, garlic powder and salt. Combine until the edamame are all coated.
- Add the seasoned edamame into your air fryer. Air fry them at 380 degrees F for 9-12 minutes, shaking halfway through.
