You will never put a sweet potato into the oven again after you try out this recipe. Baked sweet potatoes are great for a healthy side dish. Also, I highly recommend making my Sweet Potato Pancakes or my Air Fryer Veggie Tots when you make these sweet potatoes.

WHICH AIR FRYER IS BEST?

THIS is the air fryer I have and recommend. You can purchase it from Amazon.

Ingredients in this recipe

  • medium-sized sweet potatoes (scrubbed, rinsed and dried with paper towels)
  • olive oil (THESE olive oil spray bottles are great for this recipe!)
  • sea salt

How long to cook sweet potatoes in the air fryer?

Cook the potatoes at 400 degrees F for 30 minutes and then reduce the heat to 350 degrees F and cook for 10-15 more minutes. Depending on the size of your sweet potatoes, they could take longer or less time to cook. As stated before, I used medium sized sweet potatoes. Note: If the potatoes are getting too brown while cooking, cover with a little aluminum foil.

I don’t remember if I posted the first time that I made sweet potatoes this way — about three weeks ago, but I just started a second pair. I was delivered four HUGE sweet potatoes so I left the air fryer on 400 for 50 minutes and 350 for ten the first time and they were perfect.
