Turkish Pasta is protein-packed, flavor-filled and easy to make! This recipe is inspired by Turkish manti (traditional Turkish dumplings.)

What is Turkish Pasta?
Turkish pasta is a lazy version of Turkish manti.
- Turkish manti are traditional Turkish dumplings filled with spiced meat and served with a yogurt sauce and spiced butter or oil.
- Turkish pasta is pasta topped with garlic yogurt, spiced meat and spiced butter.
Turkish Pasta is currently trending on social media thanks to Anna Paul! She shares no measurements in her video, but you get the idea. I followed the method and created my own version of this Viral Turkish Pasta.

Ingredients overview:
For the pasta:
- dried shell pasta - Or your favorite pasta shape.
- salty water
For the meat:
- lean ground beef - I used 93% percent lean.
- diced yellow onion
- spices - sweet paprika, garlic powder, sea salt, black pepper
For the garlic yogurt:
- full-fat greek yogurt - Do not use low-fat!
- small grated garlic clove - Grated in so it's not too powerful.
- sea salt
For the butter sauce:
- butter - You can use extra virgin olive oil instead.
- sweet paprika
For topping:
- halved cherry tomatoes
- fresh flat leaf parsley
How to make Turkish Pasta?

Step 1
In a pot, bring salty water to a boil. Cook the pasta according to the package’s instructions.
Heat a pan over medium heat. Add the beef to the pan. You don't need oil. Break up the beef as it cooks with a spatula. Cook for about 5 minutes, or until the beef is no longer pink.
Step 2
Add onion, paprika, garlic powder, sea salt and pepper. Cook for 4-5 more minutes until the onion has softened. Deglaze the pan with about ¼ cup water if the meat or spices begin to stick to the pan.
Step 3
To make the yogurt sauce, combine Greek yogurt, grated garlic and salt.
To make the butter sauce, microwave butter in a small bowl until melted. Then, stir in the paprika.
Step 4
To assemble, add drained pasta to a plate or bowl, top the yogurt sauce, meat, tomatoes, parsley and drizzle with the butter sauce.
Recipe pro-tips:
- Don't overcook the pasta. Cook just until al dente.
- Full-fat Greek yogurt all the way - The thick and creamy richness is needed for this recipe. Plus, it's healthier!
- Use lamb instead or beef if you'd like.
- Double or triple this recipe for more than two servings.
Storage instructions:
Store each component of the dish separately in the fridge for up to 2 days. Assemble right before enjoying.
