Chocolate Hazelnut Balls are a delicious and healthy no-bake snack. The flavor will remind you of Nutella or a Ferrero Rocher!

Why you'll love chocolate hazelnut balls:
You can't go wrong with chocolate and hazelnuts together!
These bliss balls are great for meal prep! Keep these stored in your fridge to enjoy throughout the week for a snack or dessert.
No baking is required. Just process the ingredients together, roll and drizzle with chocolate.
They are made with healthy ingredients like almond flour, hazelnuts and cacao powder.
Ingredients overview:
almond butter - I recommend using almond butter over peanut butter because it has a more subtle flavor. If you can find hazelnut butter, even better!
almond flour - This works as a great binder and... again, has a subtle flavor. I don't recommend using another flour to replace the almond flour.
cacao powder - You can swap out cacao powder for unsweetened cocoa powder.
dark chocolate chips - I used no sugar added chocolate chips to reduce the amount of sugar in the recipe. Each ball only has 4 grams of sugar!
A complete list of ingredients, amounts and instructions is located on the recipe card below.
How to make chocolate hazelnut balls:
Add almond flour, cacao powder, hazelnuts, almond butter and maple syrup into a food processor.
Process for about 30 seconds, or until a doughy-like texture has formed.
If the mixture is too dry, add 1 teaspoon of water at a time until the texture is perfect.
Use a 1 tablespoon cookie scoop and roll the dough into balls.
Place the balls onto a plate, cookie sheet or board lined with parchment paper. Refrigerate them for 30 minutes.
When there is about 5 minutes left of refrigeration time, melt down the chocolate chips with coconut oil in a small bowl.
Drizzle the melted chocolate over the bliss balls.
Sprinkle with flaky sea salt, if desired.
Place them back into the refrigerator for 30 minutes for the chocolate to set.
Recipe pro-tips:
The hazelnuts do not need to be roasted and peeled. We don't have time for that. 😉 Just throw them into the food processor!
You can process the hazelnuts beforehand if you don't like larger pieces. I prefer the chunks of the nut.
Ensure the almond butter is nice and drippy. If it's thick and lumpy, it will not mix well.
Add more coconut oil to your chocolate if it seems too thick.
You can also drizzle them with white chocolate if you'd like.
Storage Instructions:
Store the Chocolate Hazelnut Balls in an airtight container in the fridge for about 5 days.
