Air Fryer Chicken Bites are easy to make and delicious! The chicken is marinated in tamari, sesame oil, honey, sriracha and garlic powder.
Please forgive me. I've been making this Air Fryer Chicken Bites recipe for over a year and I'm just getting around to sharing it. Better late than never!
The bottom line is that this is the best way to prepare boring old chicken breast. This recipe is my husband's absolute favorite way to enjoy chicken breast. He gets so excited when I tell him I'm making chicken bites for dinner. And... I don't disagree.
Why you'll love chicken bites in the air fryer:
- Minimal ingredients - The marinade is made with just 5 ingredients.
- So flavorful - Sometimes simplicity is key. The marinade may not contain a lot of ingredients but the ingredients together are magical!
- Quick - The chicken cooks up in just 8-12 minutes.
- Great for meal prep - Make these golden bites of heaven and enjoy them for a few days.
Ingredients overview:
- boneless skinless chicken breast - Cut into 1 inch cubes.
- low sodium tamari or low sodium soy sauce - Either work, but I'm partial to tamari.
- sesame oil - Don't substitute another oil. The flavor of the oil is wonderful!
- honey - The honey helps create a nice caramelization on the chicken.
- sriracha - We're using very little so spice won't be an issue.
- garlic powder - Because garlic makes everything better.

A complete list of ingredients, amounts and instructions is located on the recipe card below.
- Cut the chicken: Cut the chicken breast into 1 inch cubes.
- Marinate: Place the cut chicken in a large bowl with all of the other ingredients and combine. Cover the bowl and place it in the fridge for 15 minutes.
- How long to cook chicken bites in the air fryer: Preheat the air fryer to 385 degrees F. Place half of the marinated chicken in a single layer in the air fryer. Air fry at 385 degrees F for 8-12 minutes, tossing halfway through. Mine was perfect at 10 minutes. It's very easy to overcook chicken. Check it at the 8 minute mark. Cook the chicken in two batches unless you have a very large air fryer.
- Enjoy: Serve the chicken as you wish. I served mine with a sprinkle of sesame seeds.

- Be sure to preheat your air fryer for even cooking.
- No need to spray the air fryer with oil since there's oil in the marinade.
- Place the chicken in an even layer instead of stacking or it will steam.

Storage instructions:
Store the bites in an airtight container in the fridge for 2-3 days.
