Ghee Chocolate Chip Cookies

These Ghee Chocolate Chip Cookies are a healthier cookie recipe made with oat flour and almond flour. These cookies are gluten free and sweetened with unrefined sugar!

Ghee Chocolate Chip Cookies

These cookies are definitely a game changer! The nutty richness of the ghee adds such a wonderful flavor. If you have never tried baking with ghee before, it does not compare to butter.

What is ghee?

Ghee is a form of clarified butter. It is made by melting butter and removing the milk solids. You can make your own ghee, but I just purchase mine at any major grocery store.

Ingredients in Ghee Chocolate Chip Cookies

  • gluten free oat flour
  • almond flour
  • baking powder (gluten-free)
  • vanilla 
  • coconut sugar
  • softened ghee
  • maple syrup
  • egg
  • dark chocolate chips
  • flaky sea salt - optional

How to make healthy chocolate chip cookies

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine oat flour, almond flour, baking powder, vanilla, coconut sugar, ghee, maple syrup, an egg and chocolate chips.
  2. Use a large cookie scoop to scoop the cookie dough. Roll the dough into balls, press to form round disks and place onto a sheet pan lined with parchment paper.
  3. Bake the cookies for 9-15 min. in a 350 degrees F oven. Allow the cookies to cool on a wire cooling rack before enjoying. Optional: sprinkle the cookies with sea salt.
