What's not to love about these chicken meatballs? They are stuffed with feta cheese, spices and some panko bread crumbs. Let's not forget about the Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce!
I used toothpicks to make these the perfect party or game day appetizer. Ditch the toothpicks and pair the meatballs with Air Fryer Delicata Squash or Air Fryer Roasted Potatoes for a great and simple dinner.
Ingredients in Air Fryer Greek Chicken Meatballs
- ground chicken meat
- panko bread crumbs, gluten free if necessary
- diced onion of choice
- fresh lemon zest
- egg
- dried oregano
- ground cumin
- garlic powder
- crumbled feta cheese
- salt
- ground black pepper
- avocado oil spray
A note about the ground chicken...
There are different types of ground chicken meat based on fat percentages. You can use 99% lean meat if you would like, but these meatballs will not be moist. Also, if you like ground turkey better than chicken, you can sub ground turkey. Again, if you use a ground meat with basically zero fat, the meatballs will not be juicy.
Ingredients in Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce
- plain Greek yogurt
- chopped fresh dill
- fresh lemon juice
- extra virgin olive oil - good quality olive oil is key!
- chopped kalamata olives
- garlic powder
- salt
- ground black pepper
