Ingredients

Ingredients in Air Fryer Greek Chicken Meatballs

  • 1 pound ground chicken meat
  • ¼ cup panko bread crumbs, gluten free if necessary
  • 3 tablespoons diced onion of choice
  • zest of 1 lemon
  • 1 egg
  • 1 ½ teaspoons dried oregano
  • ½ teaspoon ground cumin
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • ¼ cup crumbled feta cheese
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • ½ teaspoon ground black pepper
  • avocado oil spray

Ingredients in Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce

  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 1 tablespoon extra virgin olive oil - good quality olive oil is key!
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh dill
  • 2 tablespoons chopped kalamata olives
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ¼ teaspoon salt
  • ¼ teaspoon ground black pepper

Instructions

  • Mix together all ingredients for the meatballs. I use my hands to do this.
  • Next, grab a medium cookie scoop to make these meatballs. Scoop the ground meat mixture and roll them into balls with your hands.
  • Place the meatballs into the air fryer. Ensure you do not stack the meatballs on top of one another. Air fry in two batches if needed. This will depend on the size of your air fryer.
  • Once the meatballs are in the air fryer basket, spray them with avocado oil. Air fry the meatballs at 375 degrees F for 12-15 min or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees F.
  • Make the Lemon Dill Yogurt Sauce while the chicken meatballs are cooking. Combine all ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl.
  • Once the meatballs are cooked serve with the sauce and enjoy! I used toothpicks to make these the perfect party or game day appetizer.
