Paris is my favorite place in the world! It’s so romantic, beautiful and I am obsessed with the language. This place is everything I dreamed about as a little girl. There is something so magical about it. The food is also delicious! They have a mix of all types of cuisines. I can’t wait to share all the restaurants and bakeries with you!
When did I go? I have actually been to Paris twice, but I am going to focus on the second time I visited. I went in early-December. The weather was cold, but bearable. I am used to New York cold weather. I have found that France and Italy definitely do not get as cold during the winter. I bundled up and was perfectly comfortable.
Where did you stay? My boyfriend and I stayed in an Airbnb. I can’t say it enough, but Airbnb is definitely the way to go. You get so much room for your money. The first time we stayed in Paris, we stayed in a hotel and the room was the size of a closet. I am not even exaggerating. Airbnb all the way! We stayed in the 15th arrondissement. The area was quiet, filled with authentic restaurants and shops. We felt like real Parisians. Feel free to email me and I would be happy to share the exact listing!
How did you get around? We walked everywhere! Every attraction is not necessarily in walking distance, but we love to walk. There is something about seeing a city simply by strolling around. I believe it’s the best way to experience a new area and you never know what you will see along the way. There is a metro if needed and it’s easy to navigate. The one day we took the train was to get from Paris to the Palace of Versailles.
The Food:

Boulangerie Louvard - Do yourself a favor and go here for the best almond croissant of your life.

Areas & Attractions:
Eiffel Tower - I think this is an obvious one. 😉
The Louvre - A museum that holds the Mona Lisa. To be honest, I didn’t go inside the museum. I am not a museum person, but if you are into art, you should definitely check it out. My boyfriend and I just roamed around the outside of the museum which was cool enough for us. Palais Royal (an old palace) is on the opposite side of the museum and we enjoyed seeing that as well.
Notre-Dame Cathedral - One of the most beautiful Catholic cathedrals. Unfortunately, it is closed at this time as it’s being reconstructed.
Champs-Élysées - One of my all-time favorite areas! There is a long strip of stores and restaurants. If you walk down the avenue, you will reach the Arc de Triomphe.
Montmartre – A very steep hill in Paris. Get ready for lots of stairs. At the top you will reach Sacré-Coeur Basilica and see a gorgeous view of Paris.
Jardin du Luxembourg - A beautiful park in Paris.
Trocadéro - Best view of the Eiffel Tower for the best Instagram pics. 😉
Versailles Palace - A breathtaking palace transformed into a museum. It is ginormous, gorgeous and a must-see!
Galeries Lafayette - Another one of my favorite places! This is essentially a mall and you can walk to the top and get an awesome view of the city.
Pont Alexandre III - Such a romantic bridge with a fabulous view! You’ve probably seen it in every movie filmed in Paris. That is how I recognized it.
Place de la Bastille – A very famous square in Paris.
Le Bon Marché Rive Gauche - If you are a foodie, this will be your favorite place. It is basically a huge, beautiful supermarket and food hall.
Au Revoir, Frozen Bananas!
