Ingredients

  • 16 ounces broccoli, cut into medium-large sized florets - This is about 2 small-medium sized broccoli crowns.
  • 2 tablespoons avocado oil
  • ¼ teaspoon sea salt
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ¼ cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set it aside.
  • Boil the broccoli florets for 3-6 minutes, or until the broccoli is fork tender. Do not overcook. Drain well and pat dry. Then, transfer the broccoli to a bowl. Pour oil over the broccoli and add salt, pepper, onion powder, garlic powder and paprika. Gently toss with clean hands until all the broccoli is coated.
  • Place each piece of broccoli, one by one, onto the baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Do not stack them. Use a glass with a flat bottom to gently press each broccoli floret. Then, sprinkle each with a bit of parmesan cheese.
  • Transfer to the oven and bake at 400 degrees F for 25-30 minutes.
