Sautéed Shiitake Mushrooms

Ingredients
  

  • 1 tablespoon toasted sesame oil
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 5 ounces shiitake mushrooms, sliced
  • 1 pinch salt and pepper 
  • 1 tablespoon tamari - Or low sodium soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon scallion, sliced
  • 1 sprinkle sesame seeds

Instructions
 

  • Heat a pan over medium heat. Pour in the sesame oil. Add minced garlic and cook for 1-2 minutes. Next, add the mushrooms, salt and pepper and sauté for 4-6 minutes.
  • Pour in the tamari and let the mushrooms sit without sautéing for 2-3 more minutes to allow them to become golden.
  • Serve with scallion and a sprinkle of sesame seeds!
