Ingredients

Ingredients for the burger sauce:

  • ¼ cup mayo or Greek yogurt - I used Primal Kitchen's Avocado Oil Mayo.
  • ¼ cup ketchup - I used Primal Kitchen's Unsweetened Ketchup
  • 1 ½ tablespoons Dijon mustard
  • 1 teaspoon hot sauce
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • ½ tablespoon dill pickle juice
  • ¼ teaspoon dried dill
  • ¼ teaspoon sweet paprika
  • ¼ teaspoon garlic powder
  • salt and pepper to taste

Ingredients for the bowl:

  • 1 pound lean ground beef - I used 90% lean.
  • 1 teaspoon avocado oil
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon chili powder
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • 8 cups chopped romaine lettuce
  • ½ cup diced onion
  • 1 ⅓ cups diced tomatoes
  • 4 chopped dill pickles
  • ¾ cup shredded cheddar cheese

Instructions

  • First, make the burger sauce. Whisk together all of the ingredients for the sauce in a small bowl. Set the sauce aside.
  • Heat a pan on medium heat with avocado oil. Add the ground beef to the pan. Use a heat safe spatula to break up the meat.
  • Add the seasonings and cook the meat until it is no longer pink. It should only take a few minutes. Drain the grease from the meat before adding it to the burger bowls. I used a slotted spoon.
  • Now, it's time to assemble the bowls. Divide the ingredients evenly between four shallow bowls. Place the lettuce on the bottom, add the cooked ground beef on top, shredded cheese, tomatoes, pickles, and red onion. Pour a desired amount of dressing over the top and enjoy!
