2ripe yellow bananas- Not too ripe with lots of black spots and not green and underripe. If they are too ripe, they can break easily and become mushy. If they are underripe, they won't be sweet enough.
½tablespoonmelted coconut oil
1teaspoonpure maple syrup
½teaspoonvanilla extract
½teaspoonground cinnamon
Instructions
First, preheat your air fryer to 375 degrees F.
Next, cut two bananas in half and then lengthwise.
Place cut bananas into a bowl with melted coconut oil, maple syrup, vanilla extract and cinnamon. Don’t mix everything together with a spoon because the bananas can break. Just use clean hands to rub the mixture into the bananas.
Place the bananas into the air fryer and cook at 375 degrees F for 6-8 minutes, or until caramelized.
Gently use a spatula to serve the bananas.
Enjoy the bananas as is or top them with whatever you please. I topped mine with vanilla ice cream, graham cracker crumbs and walnuts.
