Equipment

  • 1 Basic cocktail shaker

Ingredients

Ingredients:

  • 4 ounces tequila blanco/silver
  • 4 ounces apple cider
  • 2 ounces fresh lime juice
  • 1 ounce orange juice
  • teaspoon pumpkin pie spice
  • 3 handfuls ice cubes

Optional ingredients:

  • turbinado cane sugar + pumpkin pie spice + lime wedge  - Optional for the pumpkin pie spice rim.
  • cinnamon sticks + apple slices - Optional for garnish.

Instructions

  • If you are choosing to rim your glasses, place an equal amount of sugar and pumpkin pie spice on a board or plate.
  • Use a lime wedge to wet the glasses in the areas you want the rims. I just did along the top of one side of each glass. You can also use a brush of honey instead of the lime wedge to get the mixture to stick. Dip the glasses into the sugar mixture until coated.
  • Dip the glasses into the sugar mixture until coated.
  • Add tequila, apple cider, fresh lime juice, orange juice, pumpkin pie spice and a handful of ice to a cocktail shaker. Place the top on a shake well.
  • Pour the drinks over ice and garnish with a cinnamon stick and an apple slice if you'd like.

Can I make a pitcher of this Fall Margarita?

Yes, you can make a pitcher of this Fall Margarita. If you're hosting a party, go ahead and triple the recipe. On the recipe card, you will see an option to triple the recipe. The measurements will change for you automatically once you select "3x". This makes about 6 drinks.
If you're making this drink in advance, don't add the ice until serving or the drink will be watered down. I recommend putting ice on the side of pitcher when serving and guests can add the ice as they drink.
