Chocolate Walnuts are the perfect one bite treat. Rather than making walnut clusters or dipping each nut in chocolate, I created these chocolate walnut cups.
Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second increments to ensure the chocolate does not burn. (Example: Microwave for 30 seconds, stir the chocolate and then place back into the microwave.) Repeat this until the chocolate is completely melted.
Line a cookie sheet or plate with 9 mini cupcake liners. Add about ½ tablespoon of melted chocolate into each liner. Place 1 walnut on top. Push the walnut down into the chocolate gently. Cover each with another ½ tablespoon of melted chocolate until you can’t see the walnut anymore. Finish with a sprinkle of flaky sea salt.
Place the cookie sheet or plate into the fridge (not freezer) for about 1 hour to harden. Remove from the liners and enjoy!
