I thought it would be fun to outline the staples I keep in my refrigerator to give you some inspiration for your next trip to the grocery store! I also want to take the time to show you how I organize my fridge using my Samsung 4-Door French Door Refrigerator. I find it SO much easier to eat whole foods, cook at home and enjoy healthy eating when my fridge is organized. On top of wanting to live a healthy lifestyle, as a food blogger, I am in the kitchen more than I am in my room. It’s very important that all of my ingredients are easily accessible for when I am getting creative in the kitchen.
I have to admit, my fridge does not always look this great, but this is what it does look like on a good day. I like to keep my “main” veggies such as carrots, cucumbers, cauliflower, tomatoes and avocados front and center. I keep garlic, onions, scallions and herbs as well as extra vegetables that I don’t use as often in the drawers. I use eggs, Greek yogurt and greens in most of my meals as well as dips and fruit for snacks. I put all of these items on the second shelf for easy access. On the top shelf, I put my larger items such as syrups, broths and olives.
On the side of the fridge, I include my drinks - almond milk and immunity shots as well as, sweet treats, jams and tahini. On the other side, I put my condiments so I can easily grab them. I don’t use cheese or butter very often. This is why I stack them on the top shelf on the left side.
This fridge is amazing because it has many compartments for me to organize all of my items. Personally, I don’t like to over-stuff my fridge because I, most likely won’t use all the items and they will go to waste. Keeping my fridge organized in this manner allows me to see all the food items I have, plan out my meals and create recipes to share with you!
