Vacations and having the ability to explore new places is awesome, but being out of our natural element can be difficult. I thought it would be helpful if I shared some of my personal travel tips with you. These aren’t super complicated ideas, but they make all the difference for me. I decided to list them out for your reference.
-
I always bring along my filtered Brita Water Bottle with me in case I don’t have access to filtered water. I try and stay as hydrated as I can when I fly.
-
I make sure I have collagen packets or protein packets for extra protein on hand. When I travel to Europe, most of my meals consist of carbs. I like to bring a protein supplement to ensure I am obtaining some form of protein.
-
I pack flaxseed packets or chia packets to add extra fiber in my meals.
-
I eat breakfast in the room. This might not be as realistic if you’re staying in a hotel, but I typically use Airbnb when I am abroad. Eating breakfast in your room saves a lot of money. Additionally, if I know I am going to be eating out most of the trip, I know my oatmeal bowl will be nutritious and filling.
-
Even when I am not using just a carry on, I try to bring 3 ounces of each of my toiletries because it’s lighter and more compact.
-
I use face wipes on the plane and a wisp to brush my teeth before I land to feel clean and refreshed.
-
As far as snacks for plane rides, I like to bring things like apples, oranges, bars, nuts and popcorn. I don’t eat the airplane food. I always buy a meal in the airport and bring it on the plane.
-
This sounds weird, but I don’t wear too tight of pants for a plane ride. I get super bloated when I am sitting down for a while with tight high waisted leggings. Joggers are my go-to.
-
To pass some time during the duration of the flight, I like to go through my pictures and delete duplicates. Being a food blogger, I have thousands of food pictures. I don’t always have the time to delete the ten extra photos of my cookies. I like to take this time to clean up my phone. I also love to think of new content ideas and record them in the notes section of my phone.

Be thankful and grateful you have the ability to see the world. <3
Happy Traveling!
