We all lead very busy lives and we don’t have the time to make extravagant meals, especially when we have to run to a 6 AM exercise class, commute to work/school and drive the kids to soccer practice. I believe that healthy eating should never be complicated and I am here to show you that you can check off your to-do’s and nourish your body all at the same time. I’ve partnered with my friends at Angelic Bakehouse to show you three meal ideas that take less than 10 minutes to make and you can do most of the prep work the night before!
Breakfast: Protein Toast
Seriously, how long does it take to toast some bread? Breakfast was never so easy. I toast up two slices of Angelic’s 7-Grain Bread and load my toast up with Greek yogurt for some added protein. It partially melts on the warm piece of toast and reminds me of cream cheese. Then, I add on some of my favorite fruits, my 2 Ingredient Jam, nut butter and a sprinkle of cinnamon. On the toast featured above, I added some pumpkin puree and pumpkin spice for a little fall flare. Get creative and add whatever toppings excite you!
Lunch: Mayo-Free Tuna Wrap
This is a great lunch you can pack to take to work, to school or just enjoy at home. I drain one can of tuna in water and mix it with Greek yogurt, sliced cherry tomatoes, greens such as arugula or spinach and lots of spices like pink Himalayan salt, black pepper, dried dill, garlic powder and onion powder. I use one of Angelic’s Turmeric Sweet Potato Wraps, add the tuna mixture and wrap it all up. This lunch is very satiating and couldn’t be easier to put together!
Dinner: Shrimp Salad
I typically prep my protein in advance to have it ready to eat when I get hungry. No one can deal with me hangry and this makes life 1000 times easier! I cook my shrimp and keep them for two days to have on hand for lunch or dinner. I enjoy air frying my shrimp. For the salad featured above, I sprinkled the shrimp with the spices of my choice and let them cook through in the air frier. I love having a large salad loaded with shrimp, veggies and an avocado dressing made with fresh lemon juice, extra virgin olive oil and mashed avocado. Without some form of sustainable carbs, I normally won’t get full. This is why I love crumbling up some of Angelic’s Rye Crisps as croutons in my salad.
Why Angelic Bakehouse?
I am very very picky about the bread products I buy as most in the supermarket are loaded with enriched flours, sugars, chemicals and additives. I love all of Angelic Bakehouse’s products because I can pronounce all the ingredients, the grains are sprouted, they have amazing flavors like Turmeric Sweet Potato and all of their products taste delicious! I have found that many healthier breads don’t resemble the taste of classic sliced bread. I don’t feel that way about Angelic Bakehouse. You can also make your favorite classic items a little healthier such as burgers with their burger buns or pizza with their pizza crusts. Give them a try and give these 3 mindless meals a try. I promise neither will disappoint!
